CHAIR- I Arrived to the UK from Nicaragua in January 2020. I am a chemist, writer, and I love to cook. She is currently developing an organic skin care project. As a women's empowerment coach, I believe that every individual deserves equal opportunities for growth. I decided to start Roots for Change UK to bring hope and purpose to people who think everything is lost and no one can help them, but we are here for them, we are a family and everyone is important.

SECRETARY—I Arrived to the UK from Nicaragua in November 2022. I am an asylum seeker willing to defend the rights and raise the voice of all those who need it. I create strategies for migrants and collaborate with their development and independence. Roots for Change UK is now a fundamental part of my life because it means hope and makes me a change agent for all people who are struggling through this hard process, combined with isolation and deprivation.

Operations Management- I came to the UK from Nicaragua. As an asylum seeker, I’m driven by a deep sense of responsibility to stand up for the rights of others who may feel voiceless. I’m passionate about building pathways for empowerment and working alongside migrants to help them find their independence. Roots for Change UK has become more than just an organisation for me,. It is my way to make a real difference in people’s lives

Operations Management- I am from El Salvador and I arrived in the UK in February 2020. I am a refugee who is been volunteering in the refugee sector for a couple of years in different organisations. I love the idea that I am able to support people from different backgrounds, as a refugee I know from first hand that the process of seeking asylum can be difficult. I personally believe that everyone has the opportunity to make their dreams come true.

Youth coordinator- I arrived in the United Kingdom from El Salvador in February 2020, my motivation in life is to help vulnerable people in any situation, having lived through certain situations has led me to reflect even more on the importance of not only being empathetic but also putting help into action, I am currently a youth leader at the Jesus Christ is the Way Church located in the north of England, my mission is to help young people to have and live a full life, full of peace.

Jacqueline Portillo- Operation Management I arrived in the UK in 2018 as an asylum seeker. I am deeply motivated to collaborate with children and adults to enhance their well-being. My journey has fueled my desire to learn and develop my skills, striving for a society that is more just, and filled with hope and love. My goal is to expand support and love through my services as a volunteer, contributing to a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
